Who We Are
AllSense IoT was founded by Dennis McMahon, an Australian entrepreneur living in Malaysia
|
“I’M INTERESTED IN SOLVING THE BIG PROBLEMS OF FOOD, WATER, HEALTH, WASTE MANAGEMENT AND LIVABLE BUILDINGS FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES – AND I BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN’T IMPROVE OUTCOMES WITHOUT RELEVANT DATA. IOT CAN GIVE US THAT DATA”.
Hi Dennis here As well as AllSense Iot, I also founded RealChange Impact, a model for Impact + Profit Projects (WWW.REALCHANGEIMPACT.COM) and, in partnership with Max Shangkar - founder of Max Capital Management and the Global Investment Club - we founded MCM GreenMan Group Sdn Bhd, a modular building design company. They may seem like different sectors but they all tie in! MY LINKEDIN PROFILE: WWW.LINKEDIN.COM/IN/DENNISKL/ WHAT IS IoT?
IoT (or the Internet of Things) is all about remotely, and continuously, gathering useful information from a network of sensors (of all types) about a situation you care about - and then sending that information in a way that's useful to you. NOTE: But when we say "you", the "you" the information is sent to may not be you personally but may be to another "thing" (sensor, micro-controller, computer, server, platform etc) that you control and that will automatically take action based on the information received. The idea is that the receiving "thing" can take the information received, and by programming automatic responses into that "thing", certain measurements or indications from the sensor networks will result in the "thing" taking the actions you want - automatically, with no further action from you. So this means that the Internet of Things (IoT) should operate in a way that makes your life (and business) simpler, easier and with lower cost. |
WHAT IS THE ALLSENSE IOT CONSORTIUM? |
The AllSense IoT Consortium is a group of parties, interested in achieving the same goals and led by Dennis.
Want to join the Consortium and help lead the world? We are looking for industry sector partners (agriculture, construction, civil, environmental, cold chain and others where ASIOT solutions can add value) Whatsapp Dennis +60169839715 (or wechat me wxid_ml11an4p28rf22 or email me [email protected]) |
B2B IoT – Global Status?
|
There is a lot of IoT development and deployment, especially for developing countries and large businesses, with many vendors and integrators.
Their solutions are commercially robust, well-designed and suit the business environment they target. But that leaves an enormous gap at the “bottom”, specifically in developing countries in sectors such as agriculture, environmental controls, construction and more |
How are we different?
|
AllSense IoT is creating low cost alternative B2B IoT solutions, more suited to these developing regions.
Our strategy is to:

Condition Monitoring Use Cases
Target Markets & IoT Systems
We have multiple use-case solutions required by Clients across our selected industry sectors; these need continual review to ensure we are offering the best solutions for our client base.
There are multiple IoT protocol platforms available, including SigFox, MIOTY, Z-Wave, LoraWAN, Zigbee, Bluetooth, NB-IoT and 6LowPan / Thread.
Due to MCMC Regulations in Malaysia regarding use of radio spectrum, we will be deploying our SigFox solutions first; the Malaysian SigFox network (through the local SigFox partner Xperanti) currently covers 85% of the Malaysian population, so we should be able to implement your ioT solutions wherever you are in Malaysia:)
For other countries, we will deploy the most suitable IoT network to suit you.
There are also multiple ways for data to flow (up and downlinks through cellular and wifi through country carriers, satellite – Lacuna, Fleet, etc)
And there are multiple platform and dashboard options to manage the data and transform it into relevant, useful and actionable information.
And of these, some are better suited to certain use cases than others, so the ASIoT Consortium is continually reviewing these options and will deploy best-fit protocols and models as required.

STATUS
We currently are reviewing system design options for the following sectors:
Our first test site is our own 8 acre resort and farm property in Hulu Langat Selangor Malaysia (1 hour outside Kuala Lumpur), comprising agricultural sensors, pump and water tank monitoring, followed by submetering of water and electricity at each of our 9 buildings.
- Agriculture Soil Health & Irrigation Monitoring and Management
- Infrastructure, Energy & Manufacturing Sectors
- Building Management Systems
- Lake Water Quality Monitoring and Management
- Slope Monitoring and Management
- Cool Room Monitoring and Management
- Ground Water Monitoring and Management

OPERATING MODEL
Our model is to provide monitoring across all Client components; as part of our low cost component strategy, we MAY not, however, offer mission critical monitoring.
If it’s mission critical, we will support you in sourcing higher quality, higher cost vendors and integrators.
Clients have the opportunity to monitor a broad range of equipment and functions with “trigger” alerts when conditions are outside pre-set parameters enabling automatic shutdown and technical alerts to client staff.

BUSINESS MODEL
The business of the Company focuses on the sale, by monthly subscription, of IoT based solutions to improve and enhance business operations in our selected industry sectors.
Details of these solutions follow.
By focusing on sourcing or designing, making and installing integrated technology solutions based on recently available low cost components (which are also high quality and reliable), we maintain our cost per system at a very low level.
This enables us to charge our clients a low monthly fee, and still project a relatively high margin of 200% across the 5 year life of the deployment.

ASIOT FOCUS
ASIoT is focusing on 6 industry Sectors with Huge Global Usage and Defined Problems that IoT (and ASIoT) can solve.
- Industrial Equipment
- Agriculture
- Infrastructure, Energy and Manufacturing
- Cold Chain Network
- Slope Management
- Water Quality
